Or you may have\r\nbeen ordained a Spook, a clever actor and liar whose skill\r\nin blending in with all facets of society has made you an\r\nindispensable agent of information gathering. Perhaps\r\nyour technique with a blade and swiftness of action led\r\nyou to become a feared hitman for a Clasp Spireling,\r\nsending you on the occasional contract to snuff the life of\r\nsome unfortunate soul who crossed the Clasp. A request for a favor\r\ncan be no longer than 20 words, and is passed up the\r\nchain to an undisclosed Spireling for approval. This favor\r\ncan take a shape up to the DM\u2019s discretion depending on\r\nthe request, with varying speeds of fulfillment: If muscle\r\nis requested, an NPC Clasp minion can temporarily\r\naid the party. If money is needed, a small loan can be\r\nprovided. If you\u2019ve been imprisoned, they can look into\r\nbreaking you free, or paying off the jailer.\r\nThe turn comes when a favor is asked to be repaid. The\r\nfavor debt can be called in without warning, and many\r\ntimes with intended immediacy. Perhaps the player is\r\ncalled to commit a specific burglary without the option to\r\ndecline. Maybe they must press a dignitary for a specific\r\nsecret at an upcoming ball. The Clasp could even request\r\na hit on an NPC, no questions asked or answered. The\r\nDM is to provide a debt call proportionate to the favor\r\nfulfilled. If a favor is not repaid within a reasonable period\r\nof time, membership to the Clasp can be revoked, and if\r\nthe debt is large enough, the player may become\r\nthe next hit contract to make\r\nthe rounds.\r\n\r\n[b]Variant: Myriad Operative[\/b]\r\nWhile the skill sets are similar in many ways, working\r\nwith the Myriad brings some different benefits and challenges.\r\nThe Myriad specializes in slavery and exotic trade,\r\nso you have access to servants and rare materials at times\r\nwithout using your A Favor In Turn ability.
