Medium Dwarf, Command Infantry, Lawful Good
Klemann Obervoda translates to 'Dwarf Overseer', literally a commanding position in the armies of the Dwarfen empires and military organizations. As such, they are often seen with Scouts and heavily armed bodyguards. Despite being few in number, the bodyguards and scouts never lack in their potential. The commanding roles they take are those of the local regiments and small-scale platoons. The necessity for the Overseers was created by the circumstances of the Dwarf empires in the early years post-times after the War of Annihilation, as the leadership of the Dwarfs was temporarily distraught and broken. The resulting fill of the gap culminated in the military's position of Overseer, replacing the leadership with sufficient tactical and strategic minds. Oftentimes, Dwarf Overseers are encountered with other Dwarfs, sometimes upwards of 30 or so Dwarfs, and other times as few as 7. Most can practically and accurately assume that Overseers will consistently appear with reinforcements not far away. The Klemann Obervodan are level IV Dwarfs. Gear: Thane's Axe (Handaxe), Scale Mail (Medium), 10 GP.
Integrity. (Lawful) Dwarf Overseers are responsible for the Dwarfs they lead. Harm directed at their squad is harm directed to them just the same.
Comradery. (Military) The duties of the Obervodan are to their kin, as the protection of the Dwarfs rely on their ability to lead.
Vengeance. (Loss) The destruction of their squads brings waves of emotional reactivity, disrupting later decisions if they are unable to mentally reset.
Call to Action.
As an action, an Obervoda can use its voice to bolster his kin to shift around the battlefield.
The effect radiates from the Overseer for fifteen feet, and allows other Dwarfs to move half their movement speed without triggering opportunity attacks.
Multiattack. An Overseer can make two attacks with the Thane's Axe, the axe of Warriors.
Thane's Axe. +4 to hit, single target. 5 ft. range, 3d8+2 Slashing damage.
