Outlander

Overview:

You are not of this world.

Once, you stood beneath a different sky, in a life that made sense. Perhaps you had friends, family, rank, or wealth. Then came the dragon.

Whether you faced it, fled from it, or were caught in its shadow, you were there when the space around it became unstable and fractured. In an instant, you and the creature were torn from everything you knew and dragged into the unknown. When it ended, the sky was wrong. The land was unfamiliar, and the people who found you were not your own. And the dragon was gone. No one can give you a clear answer, and many will doubt you. Others might study you with quiet interest.

Whatever force brought you here has left its mark; your presence here is not without consequence. Will you cling to the life that was taken from you? Or will you carve out a place in a new world that was never meant to have you?

Your presence may draw attention from magic, creatures, or individuals sensitive to things beyond their understanding. At times, your nature as an outsider may influence how others perceive you, or how certain forces react to you. This trait has no direct mechanical benefit, but it exists at the DM’s discretion as a narrative tool.
