Theo’Thas “The Wall” Morningstar (Born 9,506 TBY) stands here, immortalized in stone not nearly as hardy as he. Standing at 7 foot 3 inches, he was the largest son of the Morningstar clan; so named for their brash behavior and tendency to flee before the dawn of battle. Due to his immense size and his family’s fame for their predication towards cowardice he oft found himself on the receiving end of the cruelty and physical assault of his peers. Despite this he was resolved to not fall prey to his family’s history of cowardice and foolishness, and only first ever raised his hands in defense of his only friend Vakas, another boy of his age also often targeted due to his frailty. Vakas was the first to see through to Theo’Thas’ true nature, and their pairing was quite fortuitous, for every bit the picture of stoicism Theo’Thas was so was Vakas the picture of passion.

Slowly but surely Theo’Thas began to shed the shadow of his family’s legacy; and ended his educational days beloved by all his classmates (through no small help of Vakas singing his praises to all who would listen). Theo’Thas joined the Dalaran military the moment he was eligible; and began a new legacy for the Morningstar name. Victory after victory followed for Dalaran in the wake of Theo’Thas’ mighty strides; and his blatant refusal to give any ground to his opponents earned him the title of “The Wall”.

The legend of Theo’Thas reached its conclusion on 9,631 TBY. With Nerubian forces buffeted back at Krasus Landing, a sizable yet stealthy force of nearly a thousand was sent to the ancient way of Qualmëa Mentië whilst our main forces were drawn to the front. Their only obstacle to breaching Dalaran was a small group of only 15, including Theo’Thas himself. It was not believed any would attempt the dangerous passage, so when this group was set upon by a force of Nerubians of such size they knew it would be impossible to hold. Faced with an impossible choice the group was forced to retreat by the standing Captain who had planned to cave in the passageway behind them. Theo’Thas however, more than familiar with Nerubians in battle believed this to be a foolish move, as surely they had brought enough explosives with them to blow through the small amount of passageway they would have the time to rig to collapse before the Nerubians arrived. Instead Theo’Thas served his namesake, sending the rest of the men into the cave against his captain's orders and using his immense strength to cave in the entrance with himself on the outside; holding the force of 1000 back long enough to allow the remaining 14 to rig the entire passageway to collapse, preventing the Nerubians from ever passing through.

His body was discovered a week later, surrounded by what seemed to be the bodies of nearly the entire attacking force. Amongst the bodies was found enough explosives to blow through nearly 50 feet of rock; confirming Theo’Thas’ suspicions. Theo’Thas himself was found in the exact same place he was last seen, standing even in death in front of the caved in entrance to Qualmëa Mentië. His body from the front was battered and scarred nearly beyond recognition with the exception of his back; which bore nary a single scar from his many years of life and battle. He was buried with full honors here in Dalaran, with only Vakas, still the voice by his side after all these many years, the only speaker. Theo’Thas’ strength represents the best of Dalaran and her people, and we hope this statue and his tale will encourage you to stand as he did, even in the lands beyond.

Thanks to the silver enclave, they have created a challenge for any warrior, who thinks they possess the strength of Theo'Thas "The Wall". Challengers shall sit at the table, and press the button near the statues open hand.
