What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

When adding statblock links to an article I always have to search for them with the CTRL+K search and then copy them in. This is better than it was before CTRL+K search was introduced, but I believe it would be useful to have a way to directly get the statblock dropdown like with maps, categories, images, variables, events etc.   Since then the guild mention system would get even more results potentially it could become unwieldy, so care would have to be taken on how to implement this exactl.y  

How does this feature request address the current situation?

It would be faster to put together encounters, loot tables for session prep and similar activities.
