What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

  Currently, we have amazing BBcode for the PF2e icons (, , and so on). The issue lies in if you make your site any darker or warmer than flashbang-white. The icons get lost, since they are also a dark color (black/deep brown, or something of the like). Missing functionality? The ability to edit these icons, or at least have other "sets" you can toggle or have a separate BBcode for.   A deeper, "better" suggestion is to have them instead be vector images, or something akin to RPGAwesome fonts and whatnot, where their color and styling can be manipulated via CSS or other means.  

How does this feature request address the current situation?

  It allows creators to truly have a handle on their worlds, regardless of the original iconography depicted in their game setting(s)/system(s).   I want to be clear, while I am selfishly asking for PF2e's icons, I realize this solution is as viable as we'd like it to be: free the icons! Free the customization! Viva la CSS!  

What are other uses for this feature request?

  Honestly, it's as far as vector/image/etc. iconography can go, and seeing as how it's everywhere (from hr to FontAwesome icons, to custom pins and what-have-you in-article and beyond).
