Community Suggestion: Allow image galleries to be placed under other galleries
Allow image galleries to be placed under other galleries
User Interface (UI) / User Experience (UX) · Images & image management · Created by MurderHobo
declined
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Galleries are just a flat list without much in the way of organization. Either allow a gallery to be placed under another gallery or perhaps just allow images to be in multiple galleries. How does this feature request address the current situation?
Easier to organize imagesWhat are other uses for this feature request?
The Team's Response
Unfortunately, we can't happen because galleries are folders that allows you to create a slideshow that can't have subfolders. However! the new UI/UX update to our system will have folders for images, and the folders will have subfolders. So, while this is being declined for this iteration of the site, it is already a planned implement for the update.

on 2023-02-10 14:15Images will get folders in the new interface. Which will be used for organization. Galleries will then only be used for their display purposes.
