Community Suggestion: Private Link for Subscribers
Private Link for Subscribers

For new WA users it can be a ball ache for them to sign up and the subscribe to the correct channel, AND then be authorised by a GM to allow them access...
Needs to be a lot simpler.
Needs to be a lot simpler.
Follow up
Can we not have the option for a link, like Discord, where a GM/DM/Owner of a Campaign can hand out a URL that pulls them into the base-level group. New users will be given a sign-up option and current users will join and await the GM to assign them a group with the desired permissions. At the moment I have to tell people to go to WA, sign-up and then try and find my Campaign amongst several others with the same name, then subscribe...THEN I have to guess the new user that subbed is the right person and move them into the correct group with the permissions they need. Pain in the butt.
The Team's Response
Hi! This is already a feature, in the form of self-assignable subscriber groups: https://www.worldanvil.com/learn/access-rights/self-assigning. If you don't want anyone with an account to be able to add themselves to a group, you can use access codes (Sage-only): https://www.worldanvil.com/learn/access-rights/access-code. Both of these cover this usecase in different ways, so this is now closed.

on 2025-04-12 00:15Agreed, it should allow the GM to put characters in your campaign as well.
