What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Currently, it is impossible to display incestuous relationships in family trees without doubling of children or parents depending on the order in which the tree is produced. This makes family trees impossible to follow, and considering the level of back-and-forth clicking required to produce them (it is not fast), it is painful to see them fail to work properly, and then have to work to undo or troubleshoot the situation.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
Although an unsavoury topic, it is a fact in history that incest has been part of the ancient world, and it will be part of many fantasy realms. Being unable to display these effectively without drawing one manually is unsatisfying and annoying, and makes it impossible to clearly demonstrate the relations between deities or complex families (such as those of ancient Greece myth).
What are other uses for this feature request?
This would allow relations between people, deities, or other concepts to be more clearly displayed and would ultimately make using the family tree tool a lot more functional and satisfying, as even a singular incestuous relationship can make the whole family tree fall apart.
I've attempted to include an example from my own world below, but I cannot preview it before posting so apologies if it doesn't work.

EDIT: it did not work.
The Team's Response
Thanks for the suggestion! A planned update to family trees will allow these more complicated relationships in the future.
