My proposal is an overhaul or change to the organization relationship tool to show the historical relationship. To provide an example, to simulate a relationship between two nations like the US and Japan in the current system is not easy. That relationship has changed so much over different points in history.
Below are mock up diagrams from a POC shell I made. It is meant to convey my idea but the data itself is mostly nonsense.
The feature I am proposing is a relationship history line graph inside the existing modal that visualizes how diplomacy between the two organizations changes over time. The graph maps each historical year to a point on a vertical score scale from -100 to 100, includes a clear zero baseline for neutral relations, connects all points chronologically with one line to show trend direction, and color-codes each point by sentiment state (green for positive, gray for neutral, red for negative).
The video below may better illustrate my point/idea.

The video is unlisted but the link should work.
My main idea here is the Relationship History Diagram being added to the website. I think it naturally lends itself to the story-telling process to show how two groups of people or cultures might feel about each other in 2042 and how this relationship was impacted by events in 1992.
It is also useful for writers when referencing the history of two groups. At a glance, the writer can be reminded of the storied history of two nations or two branches of a Noble House who have, historically, always been at each other's throat.
It can also be used for D&D purposes, as a campaign continues to move forward (or backwards) and new events happen, players can re-visit the organization pages to maybe see how their actions have shifted the relations between two empires.
This is a super interesting idea. I don't have faith it could be implemented reliably, given how buggy timelines still are, but it would be cool!
Interesting idea. Just spitballing… But from an implementation standpoint, would it be possible to store in a field something like “(date, value), (date, value), (date, value), …”? This would allow a single data field to be able to store values that change over time. This method could be used for other types of fields as well. Just a thought.
Really interesting idea! I'd love something like this - I can see it being especially useful for long term stories/campaigns or those that are highly historical
This would be nice for smaller worlds, but the work you would need for a large world for each country would be daunting. That said, It should be considered. A history of the relationship would be a fun way to weave more political and social intricacies into your world.
