Scroll only images in the gallery, not the panels left and right

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

Under the menu Images. When I have a gallery with so many images that it fills the page, I need to scroll. When I do, I scroll the whole page, including the left and right panels. So when I click on an image after scrolling, I can't see its properties because that part has been scrolled out of the screen.    Clicking and dragging it to a gallery is also tricky, as I need to hold and scroll at the same time.   It would be fantastic if it were possible only to scroll the gallery itself, leaving the left and right panels where they are.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

If only the gallery scroll, I could click on any image and see its properties to the right without needing to scroll back up. And drag it to a gallery to the left without issues.

What are other uses for this feature request?

If there are any other places where the whole page scroll, I suppose the same idea could be replicated, but this is the only place I've found.

What makes someone hate this suggestion so much that it gets -300 without any explanation?
As my lists of articles have come to grow and I've started to use the right-hand panel more, I see that a similar problem exists here as well.

The Team's Response

Thanks for the suggestion! We won't implement this now, but we know there are issues with the images interface as a whole and we'll look into addressing them in a future update.

This would be very functional on a desktop, but would hurt the function on mobile unless implemented correctly. This can already be achieved at some tiers with CSS in the author panel.

This definitely improve image management in large galleries and I would find it useful. Great suggestion.
