Duke Damion Oddson is the head of the Oddson clan, one of the most powerful families in the Holy Empire of Humanite. In his early 40’s, Duke Damion is well-respected by the Emperor and most of the nobility not only for his level-headed practicality, but his genuine caring and compassion for others. His relationship with the Church is strained in recent years, not only because of the increasing rigidity of Church doctrine and increased power and influence within the Empire, but more personally as well due to the treatment of his son Magnus, sent off to the Drakon Confederacy as a ward and hostage for good behavior. Magnus loves his father very much, and has worked to model himself after his father.
